First of all, let me put your mind at ease because when you heard that water enters through the silencer while washing. That’s when your mind starts to bite. You might be wondering how many hundreds of times I have washed my motorcycle. So how many liters of water is not right?
Also, some people think that the recent problems that have occurred mean that the water has gone into the engine.
I am correcting your thoughts, if you wash the bike normally, there is no possibility of water going inside the engine. Because the silencer is attached to the engine in such a way that the silencer is in the shape of a boat and there is a leak right down the middle of the boat. If for some reason some water gets inside the silencer during washing then the water comes out through that leak.
Rain or going on tour, we ride the motorcycle through mountain ridges while offloading. That way if somehow water gets into your engine. Let’s talk with you about what can happen then?
Problem-1:
The first thing that can happen is that the engine will not start at all. Maybe you started the engine with a lot of difficulty but the engine will now start misfiring. Sometimes it will stop after being pushed. A white wash will start coming out of the silencer.
Problem-2:
If water is left or water accumulates there for a long time then that can cause rust in the silencer and since the engine is made of all kinds of metal materials, if water accumulates for a long time then rust or corrosion can also occur there.
Problem-3:
If for some reason the water leaks, then the cylinder can also be damaged. Because a combustion process takes place inside the engine where air and fuel are burned together, when water enters the space, the fuel will not be able to compress or burn properly. As a result, it will be seen that the piston, rod etc. of the engine will be damaged.
What do you do when this kind of thing happens?
Solution-1:
First of all the first thing is to go directly to the service point and open the engine and get the water out of it. If that is not possible or there is no service point nearby, the first thing to do is to tilt the silencer to one side. So that the water can be drained through the leaks.
Solution-2:
The second thing to do is, if the engine starts somehow, create high pressure in the engine and allow the water to escape through the silencer. You can hold it for a while and wait for the water to dry.
Solution-3:
If you suspect and prove beyond doubt that water has entered the engine then the spark plug should be changed.
At last you can use the motorcycle exhaust plug while washing the motorcycle. So that he can remove the plug again after washing the motorcycle without water entering through that hole.
