The production process of bikes is improving every day since the birth of the motorcycle. New technologies are coming. Better quality parts are coming and the cost is decreasing and the demand is increasing. Once upon a time motorcycles were a luxury item for people but now bikes are no longer a luxury. Many businesses have been built around bikes, thousands of people are making a living.

And people have a lot of interest to know about the things that people need. There are various efforts to keep it good.

And one such love and necessary thing is called motorcycle.

In this article, we will tell you how the new generation of bike engines are significantly different from their older counterparts, as well as some of the common misconceptions people have about engines…

Most modern engines are built so precisely that they don’t actually need any braking

Almost everyone has heard that after buying a new bike many advise to follow a breaking period. What is the breaking period?

Braking period is a motorcycle or bike engine made up of several metal parts. In simpler terms, without these metal parts, the engine is not possible. Attempts are made to place them fairly accurately, but unevenness may still remain at the edges. And especially the piston rings must be properly smoothed.

To give these metal parts used in the engine time to wear properly, a new motorcycle or bike has to be driven in a special way, basically this rule is called break-in-period.

Many times I see bikers asking that brother I forgot to ride the bike at 90/100, did my bike engine get damaged?

But hopefully, with the modern bikes that are coming to Bangladesh, it won’t hurt if you lift 90/100 a few times, and if you don’t obey from the start, it won’t be a problem.

    More power at higher rpm

Modern engines can rotate much higher than their older counterparts. There was a time when finding a 5000rpm bike was a dream come true. Those times are long gone, today bikes with 12,000 rpm engines are not uncommon. Modern engines are built with advanced metals that are lighter in weight, yet able to withstand more stress and heat than their predecessors

We all have an idea that high rpm bikes consume more fuel. The amount of fuel consumed is determined by the construction style.

    Modern engines are lightweight

Earlier cast iron was used to make bike engine body and now machined aluminum and alloy metal are used. As a result the engine of the bike is getting lighter as well as stronger.

Not only does this increase fuel efficiency, it also helps them produce significantly more power. The internal parts of the engine are also made of lightweight yet high strength materials. You’ll notice that high-performance engines used in motorsport are usually ultra-lightweight.

It is normal for the engine to get hot while riding the bike. However, modern bike engines have used all such technologies as a result of which the bike heats up less than the previous models and cools down quickly due to the cooling system.

Modern engines produce less heat and are more reliable

Modern engines can produce power at cooler temperatures as they are driven more efficiently with changes in engine design, better materials, improved fuel combustion technology, electronically controlled air-fuel mixture and precision injectors.

It is normal for the engine to get hot while riding the bike. However, modern bike engines have used all such technologies as a result of which the bike heats up less than the previous models and cools down quickly due to the cooling system.
