When you are going to buy a motorcycle, it is important to think about the mileage of the motorcycle. Because a bike with bad mileage can become a monster in your house. Deciding whether to buy a bike based on mileage is very important.

If the mileage of a bike is high, the running cost of the bike is very low. And the engine health of the bike depends a lot on its low or high mileage. The mileage on each bike is different. However, how much mileage a bike will give depends a little on whether the owner of the bike takes proper care of the bike through timely servicing and tuning. The health of the motorcycle engine is directly linked to its mileage. Now the question is, in lakhs of rupees, how to increase the mileage of the motorcycle?

Today I will share with you some tips to increase the mileage of your motorcycle.

Before increasing the mileage, you need to know why the mileage is reduced. Why is the motorcycle not giving the expected mileage? You are thinking of going to the mechanic to drain the oil from the carburetor. Before reducing the oil, you can check the following things first:.

1: Check if the motorcycle wheels are turning properly.

Many times, due to overtightening of the brakes, the wheel jams and turns less. Again, if the wheel bearing is broken, the wheel is jammed and turns less. And if the wheel is jammed, the engine has to carry more pressure at the same speed. An excessively tight chain is also a cause of wheel jams. Also, even if the chain is not regularly cleaned or lubricated, some reduction in mileage is seen.

2: Mileage is often reduced due to weak piston rings.

If this problem occurs, engine oil enters the piston chamber and reduces the flammability of gasoline. As a result, the engine power is reduced, so the mileage is also reduced.

3: Valve clearance is another major factor in reducing power and mileage.

It is known as Tapit Milano. Extra-tight valves do reduce engine noise, but they have an effect on the timing chain. This increases the friction between the engines. Simply put, the engine simply stops turning. The more perfect the valve clearance, the better the performance and mileage of the motorcycle.

4: The carburetor and its setting screws are very flexible.

Never have a carburetor tuned by an inexperienced mechanic. This reduces the mileage of the bike.

5: Not using company-specified-grade engine oil

Not using the specified grade of engine oil is also a reason for reduced mileage. Also, if you don’t use the prescribed-size wheel, the mileage will decrease

After buying a new bike, it is normal to get relatively low mileage for some time. After buying the bike for 1000–1500 km. The mileage usually does not increase until it is serviced two or three times.

Now let’s know some tips to increase the mileage of the motorcycle.

    1) Keep the carburetor clean regularly.

The carburetor should be kept clean regularly, as dust accumulates in the carburetor and jams the jet and float bowl needle. This results in higher fuel consumption. As a result, the mileage decreases. So always keep the carburetor clean.

    2) Keeping the valve clean.

It is important to keep the valve clean. Because the engine consumes relatively more fuel when the air filter is clogged,

    3) Keeping the manual gear change speed of the bike fixed.

Maintaining the gear change speed as specified in the bike manual will give good mileage.

    4) Speed control:

After starting the bike, go as slowly as possible for the first 400 meters. Acceleration at first burns more fuel.

    5) Use of clutch and brake.

The less you use the clutch and brake, the better. This results in a lot of fuel savings.

    6) Stop the engine if possible.

If possible, keep your bike engine off during traffic signals.

    7) Using specified-grade engine oil

Use the company-specified grade of engine oil. Change the engine oil on time.

    8) Keep the bike tube pressure at the prescribed level.

Keep the tube pressure of your bike at the prescribed level, so check the tube pressure every few days.

Following the above points will surely increase the mileage of your motorcycle. Thank you for taking the time to read
